We love the OXO Tot Whale Pail!  

Make bath time clean-up fun with the OXO Tot Whale Pail. Use the Whale’s wide mouth to fetch toys out of the bathtub. The soft, non-slip handle makes it easy for little bathers to help scoop and rinse toys, even with wet hands. Store the Pail on the holder which suctions to the wall and sits on the bathtub ledge for added security. Holes along the side of the Pail help increase ventilation and dry toys. Happy May! This month we are running a food drive to support the local food bank here in NW Denver: http://www.bienvenidosfoodbank.org/.  Bienvenidos believes that choice is tied to dignity. For this reason, the Food Bank distributes based on a shopping model. After donated and purchased food has been crated and inventoried, it is arranged on display-tables. Clients then pass through the Food Bank with carts, recycled bags and boxes to shop for items they want.
Please bring what you can in non-perishable food to Real Baby any time throughout the month of May and we will bring it to Bienvenidos. At the end of May we will hold a Feeding Event at the shop with prizes, demos, and great give-a-ways!

My How Time Flies!

As a parent, especially a new one, you hear from people daily  about how time flies with your children. "Enjoy this age," and "they grow up so fast," people have said to me on a daily basis.  They were speaking the truth.  Enjoy every minute. Pay attention, listen, laugh, guide, teach, hold, and love with all you are.  Time is precious, and yes, it moves too quickly.

I'm not sure what to make of this trailer that shares the name of one of the most popular pregnancy books ever!  This seems like an effort to get guys to come to this movie, however, I find some of it really funny. Uppababy and BOB strollers score huge in product placement.  No Judgie!

My daughter has a crush on a boy and it's killing me.

I don't want her to like boys. I want her to like crayons and spinning around until she falls to the ground in hysterical laughter. I want her to like Barbie, but to keep her distance from Ken. I want her to like reading in bed, creating dance routines with friends, painting her nails, and listenting to her favorite music.

I want her to like harassing her brother with her cunning. I want her to like going to the movies, eating popsicles no matter what the temperature. I want my daughter to like going to school, learning, and hanging out with her girlfriends .

However, that is precisely where the trouble began. The group of girls has planted the seed that has grown into a full on crush. Love letters, maps on how to deliver the love letters, and directions for all the girls to paticipate in said delivery of the letters, have all transpired during the girls "hanging out."  This Valentine's day the "crush" sent her a flower at school. Home run, slam dunk, game over...

There is nothing I can do. It's time to get over it and move on, or move away.

I admit it. This post is a bit geeky, but you have to understand that I have spent countless hours making and flying paper airplanes with my son.  I have the paper cuts to prove it.
